My name is Merete Stangeland
Built by persistence.
For nearly four decades, I have worked in structured, high-responsibility environments — from driving lorries and negotiating retail contracts, to sailing between international ports as a purser, to organising technical shipbuilding documentation for maritime operations.
I have worked in male-dominated industries. I have built systems from scratch. I have navigated crises. I have raised children through foster care and worked closely with trauma-informed frameworks and bridge-building between families.
Nothing in my life has been accidental. It has been structured. And it has shaped how I work.
Trust, for me, is not created through charisma.
It is built stone by stone — through steadiness, clarity and presence.

My professional foundation is that of a civil economist, strengthened by nearly 40 years of operational, technical and organisational experience.

The Clear Horizon Method
Over time, I developed my own structured system — a signature programme called The Clear Horizon Method.
It is built specifically for capable Western women navigating complexity: careers, responsibility, leadership, family systems and inherited cultural expectations.
This is not motivational coaching.
It is structured development.

Publications & Contributions
Over the years, I have contributed to two international collaborative publications.
In 2021, I participated as a co-author in Find Yourself Handbook, released in connection with International Women’s Day in Paris. The book brought together women from diverse professional backgrounds, each reflecting on responsibility, growth and self-leadership.
I also contributed to 100 Most Successful Women Around the World – Build Success From Scratch, Vol. 2, a global collaboration highlighting women’s varied paths to achievement and resilience.
Both publications formed part of my professional journey during a period of international collaboration and speaking engagements.
While these books are not central to my current work, they represent chapters in the development of my thinking and contribution.
